Meet our Animals

VALENTINO

Born on Valentines day 2024, he is my sweet little snuggly unicorn. A rare white bull that is only 29inches tall.

LUCILLE

Lucille, my fiery red-headed girl, and Valentinos wifey. She knows her name just like Valentino does and loves scratches.

Our prized Micro Highland Cows- Bovine Unicorns!

Come meet our beloved micro highland cows and step into a world of whimsy and wonder. These gentle creatures, born and raised at Sunset Farm, exude a rare charm that captivates all who visit. Imagine these pint-sized wonders, lovingly nurtured amidst the grassy  pastures, creating the perfect opportunity for one-to-one animal encounters and capturing precious moments in unforgettable photo shoots.

Each miniature highland cow possesses the iconic long, flowing hair and endearing demeanor of their larger counterparts. As part of our working organic farm, these rare special animals form an integral part of our serene landscape. Their presence adds a touch of enchantment to our farm's tapestry.

Tonka (rehomed) AND Valentino as a baby!!

It's not just our micro highland cows that steal the spotlight.

The sheep herd led by Puppet our ram.

Loki, my absolute favorite boy! He was bottle raised and follows me around like a dog.

The dogs! Minnow the brown catahoula and her pup, Yogi the labohoula. Great greeters of all the people who visit us.

This herd of Angus beef cows has been so fun and interesting to have. We get calves every year from them and it makes Winter/early Spring a delight.

Every farm needs a few good mousers! We have 3. This one is Batty Bones. Not pictured are Bunny , and Panda

The horses!! I love these girls.

The cremello (white) mare is Pluma, a quarter horse. She gave us Butter the buttermilk buckskin (yellow).

The sorrel (red) mare is Pip, an appendix whioch is a half thoroughbred, half quarter horse. She is FAST!

Donkeys…I bought one to guard the sheep and surprise she was pregnant. Her little one is Tootsie who lives with the sheep full time. Then, I had to have a mini, Pickles. Such a handsome boy and good friends with Puppet the ram.

I LOVE cows in case that isn’t clear…

These two girls are dairy cows and their milk is so delicious I can’t imagine drinking store bought ever again. They are also our “Recips” and are pregnant with more mini highlands.

Lots of assorted birds! Chickens and ducks…we don’t ever count how many, but we love their eggs.

Sunset Farm is home to a delightful array of farm animals waiting to greet you. From frolicsome goats to inquisitive chickens, friendly sheep and horses, each animal contributes to the vibrant and authentic atmosphere of our farm.
